This Is how dumb people really are:

I was in target last night with baby Ashlynn, when this random little girl wanted to talk and play with her. Okay.. Fine with me whatever Ashlynn loves older kids. Then her mom comes to me and asked me how old she was, we carried a small conversation for maybe 5 minutes. Then she asked me if I was African American...hmmm last time I checked I was. So I answered politely yes. Then she asked if I was from Africa...I literally looked around like, are there prank cameras around the corner? Did this lady really ask me if I was from Africa? Not that it bothered me but really? So I politely said no. Sooo she goes on to tell me that her brother and law is African American and he's from Africa. I guess in her eyes every African American is from Africa? (Yes, my ancestors trace back to Africa, I however am not fron Africa) But then again maybe I should stop saying I'm African American and just say I'm American with African descent... or just start saying I'm black..just sayin....

Whatever..

Wifely Blog: Ughhh No He Didnt!

Over the past two weeks my husband and I have been moving and getting settled into our new home. So I review the kitchen, and everything works except the hot water pressure in our kitchen sink could be better and the drain in our bathroom was very slow. Then my neighbor comes over to kill a spider in my refrigerator for me (yes, i am terrified of spiders, and i have no clue why a spider was in the fridge.) But she noticed our fridge was leaking water and told me to call housing immediately. So, I did. This morning they come, we go a plumber fixing the sink and another man in our freezer. They're working pretty hard, all i hear is BOOM BOOM, CLICK CLANK CLICK CLICK, and drills. =) After about 45 minutes they finish their jobs, have me sign this document and they leave.

Then I seen the grossest thing ever, blood, especially a total strangers blood. I thought to myself. "Did he really have the nerve to leave blood on my screen door?" Then went to check the rest of my kitchen and freezer. And what do ya know? Blood smears on the kitchen counter and the freezer. I thought to myself "Oh HELLLL no he didn't!" I immediately got the gloves and bleach and sprayed my whole kitchen and door down. Then i threw away half of my food items in the freezer that was twist tied sealed, but i wasn't taking any chances. I call housing and told them about it, they call maintenance management and the guy comes back to my house and cleans our freezer. Then he had the audacity to tell me "I guess i missed a few spots, I thought I got it all."

Whatever.

That's sooo nasty!! Ughhh!!

Blessed Blog: It's okay to be obsessed

With your child! I love my daughter she is so amazing! She smiles every morning when she wakes up! That's what I call a blessed baby! She wakes up smiling, she knows that God woke her up and she has another day with her parents, other family and friends. My husband and I thank the Lord everyday for all his blessings! So it's okay for me to be obsessed with my cupcake because she's God's precious gift!

Ashlynn's 6 month up date

Good morning Loves!
Baby Ash turned 6 months on the 21st of July and I just want to update y'all on her development! She's growing so much I need to share!
Okay so according to the "What To Expect The First Year" at six months it says Ashlynn she SHOULD BE ABLE TO:
Keep head level with body when pulled to sitting
Say "ah-goo" or similar vowel consonant combinations
Will probably be able to:
Bear some weight on legs when held upright
Sit without support
Turn in the direction of a voice
Razz( make a wet razzing sound)
MAY BE ABLE TO:
Stand holding on to someone or something.
Object if you try to take a toy away
Work to get a toy that's out of reach
Pass a cube or another object from one hand to the other
Look for dropped object
Rake with fingers a tiny object and pick it up in fist (keep all dangerous objects out of baby's reach.)
Babble, combining vowels and consonants such as ga-ga-ga, ba-ba-ba, ma-ma-ma, da-da-da.
Feed self cracker or other finger food.
MAY EVEN BE ABLE TO:
Creep or crawl
Full up to standing position from sitting
Get into a sitting position from stomach
Pick up tiny object with any part of thumb and finger (keep all dangerous objects out of baby's reach)
Say "mama" or "dada," indiscriminately.

WHAT ASHLYNN IS DOING SO FAR:
Creeping
She's been standing with support since month four
She can sit without support for about 3 minutes
She can grab objects from a distance since month four.
When her name is called from a distance she looks around for whoever called her.
She's starting to get familiar with faces
She's officially eating baby foods 2-3 times a day.
She notices our dogs and takes an interest to pet them.
She makes these stinker faces( I'll post a photo)
She turns to her tummy during sleep
Shes been talkative since month two.

Also, she's growing out of her baby tub so I tried bathing her in the kitchen sink... We both didn't like that. So what im going to do is find a baby bath seat and try it and review it. Ashlynn loves to splash now... And baby tubs are too small for that! Her six month wellness check up is Aug 2 do I'll post more then.

Stay blessed

Baby hair!

Yes! I seriously love my daughter's "it's a curl!" Natural hair care product. Her hair and scalp feels soo healthy and soft. The daily mositurizer helps detangle her hair and the oil just locks the moisture in and oils her scalp. Speaking of scalp, my Co worker removed her cradle cap with a soft bristle brush for me. It was so easy for her just to brush away! So my baby has no more cradle cap. I feel like the oil did help get rid for her cradle cap. People normally use baby oil in their child's hair to moisturize, but I personally think that is too harsh/oily for babies hair. Which causes them to have to wash it out each time they put it in. That will only make it harder for you to get rid of cradle cap. This oil I have is so light it can be used daily. This is why it was so simple for my co worker to remove this from her scalp. Oh and they sent samples of their shampoo, conditioner, and leave in! I love them all! I'm definitely hooked!

Oatmeal at 5 mos

You know what makes me laugh. My baby girl loves to watch me eat my food but when it comes to her oatmeal and rice she doesn't really want it. So I am thinking either she's ready for bigger and better things. So I am going to do my research and start making her baby food. In my house hold we are trying to eat healthy and buying that baby food on the shelves is not the way to go! Just think that baby food can sit on the shelf for months if not a year or So...does that not concern y'all?
